About the workshop
Public Sector agencies globally aim for heightened performance, emphasising greater accountability, and transparency. In Australia, key reforms are shaping the Public Sector today, with the Senior Executive Service playing a pivotal role in providing leadership at both agency and whole APS. SES leaders are responsible for guiding program and project delivery, developing and implementing public policy, and ensuring compliance. They also provide high-level expertise to uphold the integrity of government decision-making and planning processes.
As we navigate a phase of change, leaders in the Public Sector face vast and complex challenges in translating government plans into reality. Success as a senior executive leader hinges on optimising leadership capabilities to influence and engage a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders. This workshop offers an opportunity to enhance executive leadership skills and explore the latest models for strategic leadership. You will develop strategies for navigating workplace politics and handling sensitive situations. Additionally, this workshop focuses on mastering complex stakeholder management and positioning yourself for success in SES-level roles within the APS.
